Yoga Nidra

Come into stillness, experience deep relaxation, and release physical, mental and emotional tension…

Yoga Nidra is a form of rest based meditation. It is a powerful practice that can evoke a state of deep rest and a release of physical, mental and emotional tension.

It is a form of systematic relaxation, which can induce a profound parasympathetic-relaxation response throughout the body. It can help the body and mind re-learn to be in the “rest and digest” state, which it critical for good health, digestion and healing.

Personalized yoga nidra

Experience yoga nidra in a private session either in person or online. I can tailor the experience to meet individual goals or concerns (to reduce stress, support healing, help manage anxiety/depression, help improve sleep, help manage persistent pain). You’ll come away from the session with a recording that you can use again and again.

Yoga nidra for kids

Experience a shorter relaxing session tailored to the child’s age or a session to help kids go to sleep (I made recordings for my kids!). With either option you’ll come away from the session with a recording that you can use again and again. This is a great practice to do with your kids - adults enjoy the experience too!

Yoga nidra dyad

Experience a one-on-one, interactive guided meditation. This practice is for you if you would like to work with specific concerns or challenges, or to go more deeply into your yoga nidra practice. Some familiarity with yoga nidra is recommend. You might choose to do a private session for traditional yoga nidra first or join a few classes to practice yoga nidra.

What to expect

Yoga nidra is traditionally practiced lying on the floor on one's back, but you can sit in a chair or use another position that is comfortable for you to remain in stillness for about 25 to 30 minutes. You will use pillows, blankets and anything else you need to be as comfortable as you are able. Then you’ll do absolutely nothing and allow yourself to be guided into relaxation.
